Difference between a homepage and a website

A homepage can refer to the page that appears on your screen when you start your browser. It can also refer to the front page of a website. You can chose any webpage as your homepage, and access it quickly by clicking on the ‘home’ button.  A website is a collection of one or more web pages designed to convey information on a particular subject or theme to a web user.

Hosts, Servers, Clients

A host in internet language refers to any computer that is open to external online access. A server is a computer where web pages are stored, and are made available for outside access. The software you use to perform online operations is known as the client. Hosts, servers, and clients are not people at all!
